The 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE is a moderately easy vehicle to maintain. The headlights in the main housing are mostly accessible by simply reaching behind them, allowing for reliable bulb changes. The engine coolant reservoir also has unobstructed access, allowing you to monitor the fluid level with ease. Changing the engine air filter shouldn’t be a problem as the housing disengages without the use of tools.

However, the 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE does have some complicated set-ups. The main rear housing must be removed for access to some of the tail lights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Accessing the fog lights may also be a problem as the wheel well lining will need to be pried back first. Reaching the petcock for a coolant flush may be challenging as a large panel will first need to be moved out of the way.
