The 2017 Kia Sportage LX is a relatively easy SUV to maintain, despite the difficult to access aspects under the vehicle. Changing the engine air filter is easy, as you only have to disengage a cover and a few fasteners for access. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The brake fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a reliable basis.
Some things are more problematic on the 2017 Kia Sportage LX. Changing the oil can be problematic, as you will have to remove a cover from under the vehicle in order to access the oil drain plug. You will have to remove a large panel from under the vehicle in order to access the petcock for a coolant change. This panel will require the removal of many fasteners and can be difficult to complete. To access the cabin air filter, you will have to lower the glove box. This would have been much easier if there were a panel in the rear of the glove box for reliable access.
