The 2012 Mazda 6 i is relatively easy to maintain. The highbeam light is accessible by reaching behind the bulb housing and disconnecting it, allowing for relatively reliable bulb changes. Jumpstarting or changing the battery shouldn’t be a problem given the unobstructed access to the terminals and the bracket. The fuse boxes are easy to access, and the one in the engine bay comes provided with a fuse puller for your convenience.
However, the 2012 Mazda 6 i has its share of pain points. Accessing the rest of the headlights will first require an extensive wheel well lining removal, which can be problematic, as the lining may prove rigid to pry back. Multiple portions of trunk lining will need to be removed for access to the tail lights, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. A flat head screwdriver will be necessary in order to disengage the front wiper blades.
