The 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid is a moderately easy car to maintain but it does have its share of complicated procedures. The wheel well lining will need to be removed to reliably access the front turn signal. The petcock, oil drain plug, and oil filter are all located behind a large panel underneath the vehicle, which may be cumbersome to navigate around. With its multiple fasteners and cramped position, the battery may prove problematic to remove.
However, the 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid does have many upsides. The cabin air filter can be quickly found behind the glove box, which removes easily without the use of any tools. The headlight and highbeam can be accessed by simply reaching behind the bulb housing, and, if necessary, the engine coolant reservoir wiggles out with ease. The tail lights are simple to access behind the trunk lining, requiring only the removal of a few simple rivets.
