The 2009 Nissan Frontier LE is an easy truck to maintain. All of the headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the bulb housing, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Similarly, accessing the tail lights is no problem as the bolts that secure their housing are very easy to access and the housing itself removes without hassle. The engine air filter is easy to change, as no tools are needed to disengage the housing for access to the filter itself.
However, the 2009 Nissan Frontier LE does have its downsides. The transmission fluid dipstick is located deep in the engine bay and requires a bolt removal for access, which won’t allow you to reliably monitor the fluid level. Accessing the cabin air filter may be a problem as you’ll need to remove the glove box first. The spare tire is located underneath the vehicle, which could be problematic should it rust to the undercarriage.
