The 2009 Kia Optima EX is easy to maintain. Some of the headlights are accessible by reaching behind the bulb housing and remove without any tools, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Checking the transmission fluid shouldn’t be a problem on account of the open access to the dipstick. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together beneath the trunk lining, allowing for easy access in the event of a flat.
However, the 2009 Kia Optima EX does have its downsides. The parking light and front turn signal will require the wheel well lining to be pried back for access to their bulbs, which won’t allow for reliable changes. Performing a coolant flush may be a problem as you’ll need to remove a large panel before you can reach the petcock.
