The 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 is a relatively difficult car to maintain. Access to the headlights on the driver side will require the removal of the power steering fluid reservoir, and some lights on both sides will require the removal of the wheel well lining. A large panel(s) underneath the vehicle will need to be removed to access both the petcock and oil drain plug. The engine air filter will require the engine cover to be removed and is a problematic process overall.
However, the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK550 does have its upsides. Its cabin air filter is easy to find in the cowl and doesn’t require any tools to be removed. All of the tail lights are located in a single bulb assembly that is reliably accessible behind a single panel in the trunk. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together to allow for quick access in the event of a flat.
