The 2005 Toyota Prius is an easy vehicle to maintain. All of the tail lights are located behind a single panel in the trunk that removes without the use of tools, allowing for reliable access whenever necessary. Monitoring the brake fluid isn’t a problem, as the reservoir has very open access in the engine bay. The engine air filter housing can be disengaged and lifted up with just your hands, allowing you quick access to the filter itself.

However, the 2005 Toyota Prius has its share of difficulties. The glove box and other covers will need to be removed for access to the cabin air filter, which won’t allow for reliable filter changes. Replacing the fog light might be a problem as a large panel beneath the vehicle needs to be removed for access. The battery is tightly wedged into a corner of the trunk, making for a difficult reach.
