The 2005 Mazda Miata LS is a difficult car to maintain. The wheel well lining needs to be pried back to access the fog light while multiple tools are needed to pry out the parking light housing. The tail lights don’t allow for reliable bulb changes as its entire bulb housing will need to be removed to do so, which is secured by multiple rivets, screws, and bolts. The battery has rather cramped access in the trunk, which could be a problem should it ever need replacement.
However, the 2005 Mazda Miata LS has its upsides. The rest of the headlights have simple reach-behind access, so changing those bulbs shouldn’t be a problem. Both fuse boxes are quick to find and the interior one comes provided with a fuse puller, allowing you to reliably troubleshoot any electrical issues. The engine air filter can be accessed without any tools, making for easy replacement.
