The 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 LS is somewhat easy to maintain. The top of the headlight housing pries out of the vehicle without tools, allowing you relatively reliable access to both the parking and front turn signal bulbs. Accessing the interior fuse box won’t be a problem, as the covering panel pries off with ease and provides you with a fuse puller. The on-board diagnostics plug can also be reached without hassle in the footwell of the driver seat.
However, the 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 LS has its downsides. You will need to make a long reach with limited visibility to change the fog and daytime running lights. The headlight and highbeam lights don’t have reliable access, as the top of the headlight housing must be removed before the bottom portion can be reached. The battery and the remote jump terminals are in cramped areas that are difficult to access.
