The 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1 is difficult to maintain. All of the headlights require their housings to be taken out—one of which will require multiple bolts removals—which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. The tail lights also require their housing to be removed, which may be problematic given all of the fasteners, panels, and portions of trunk lining that’ll need to be removed first. The cabin air filter is tough to access in the cowl of the vehicle given its obstructed, cramped set-up.
However, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1 has its upsides. The interior fuse box is quick to find on the passenger side, allowing you to reliably troubleshoot electrical issues. Monitoring the engine coolant system won’t be a problem given the incredibly open access to the fill line, cap, and upper radiator hose. Also, the spare tire is quick to access when replacing a flat.
