The battery is located in a tighter spot than usual, and is secured by a sway bar as well as a bracket. Removing the bolts necessary will be harder to do than usual. Changing the rear wiper blade can be a problem, as you will need to use a tool in order to pry up a tab and release the blade. Other models do not require the use of tools.

Some things are easier on the 2004 GMC Yukon SLT. Checking the transmission fluid level reliably is no problem, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. Changing the fog light is easy to do, as you only have to reach behind the housing in order to access the bulb. The engine coolant fluid reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will allow you to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
