The 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier is a relatively easy car to maintain. The tail lights are all accessible by reaching behind their housings, which will allow for reliable bulb changes. The center brake light is also quick to reach and won’t require any cover removals whatsoever. Accessing the spare tire and jack kit won’t be a problem, as they’re packaged together beneath a single portion of lining in the trunk.
However, the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier does have its downsides. A large panel and the entire housing must be removed to change any of the headlights, which won’t make for reliable access. Reaching the oil filter may be a problem given that it is buried deep in the engine bay behind a large panel. Monitoring the transmission fluid will also be a challenge, as this vehicle doesn’t include a dipstick and the cap is difficult to reach.
