The 2001 Chrysler LHS has a few extremely difficult repairs, that will make it difficult to complete basic car maintenance. Accessing the headlight is extremely complicated. You will have to completely remove the housing, and remove many bolts, fasteners, and a panel in order to complete that step. The battery is extremely complicated to change on this vehicle. You will have to work in many different areas in the front of the vehicle. While you won’t need any tools, you will have to completely remove the taillight housing for access to the tail light bulbs. This is tougher access than on other models.

Some things are easier on the 2001 Chrysler LHS. Checking the transmission fluid level is no problem, as the dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay. Changing the engine air filter with reliability is easy to do, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. These fasteners are easy to disengage. The engine coolant reservoir is easily visible in the engine bay. This will make it easy to check and replenish the fluid level on a regular basis.
