The 2001 Chevrolet Impala is a difficult vehicle to maintain. The entire bulb housing will need to be removed for access to any of the headlights, which won’t allow for reliable changes. The engine air filter housing is wedged into the engine bay and can be difficult to disengage in order to access the filter. The battery may also prove to be a problem to change, as you must first remove the sway bar for access to the bracket.
However, the 2001 Chevrolet Impala does have its upsides. The oil drain plug and oil filter are accessible from underneath the vehicle and won’t require any parts removals to reach them. The transmission dipstick can be easily removed, allowing you to monitor the fluid level with reliability. Changing a flat tire shouldn’t be a problem on account of the easy access and set-up of the spare tire and jack kit.
