The 2001 BMW 325i is somewhat easy to maintain. The tail lights in the main housing are located in a single bulb assembly that removes without the use of any tools. The spare tire and jack kit are quickly found in the trunk, and the jack’s all-in-one construction will make it easy to set up in the event of a flat. Changing the engine air filter isn’t a problem, as it can be removed without the use of any tools.
However, the 2001 BMW 325i has quite a few challenging repairs. You’ll need to remove a panel from underneath the vehicle that’s held on by multiple screws in order to access the petcock. The battery is located underneath multiple panels in the trunk, which won’t allow for reliable access. Unlike the other headlights, the turn signals require their whole bulb housings to be removed to access and change their bulbs.
