The 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL is difficult to maintain. All of the headlights in the main housing will require the entire housing to be removed for access, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Accessing the fog lights in particular may be a problem as multiple panels and bolts will need to be removed in order to reach it. The center brake light is not an LED bulb and removing it will prove to be a tedious procedure.
However, the 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL has its upsides. The engine coolant reservoir has very open access to both its level markers and cap, allowing you to monitor the fluid levels with reliability. The fuse boxes are quick to access and come provided with their own fuse pullers, eliminating any potential problems with electrical troubleshooting. The spare tire and jack kit are packaged together, making for quick set-up when fixing a flat.
