The 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE is a more complicated vehicle to maintain than other similar models. Accessing the tail light is extremely problematic, as there are many steps you will need to follow in order to remove the tail light housing for reliable access. You will need a few tools, and have to squeeze through an awkward spot on this vehicle, in order to access the fog light. You will have to remove a few screws in order to reliably access the center brake light. Most models have LED lights that are used for the center brake light, so it is more difficult to have to access this bulb on a regular basis.
Some things are less of a problem on the 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE. The engine air filter is easily accessible on this vehicle, as you only have to disengage a few fasteners for access to the filter. Both the front and rear wiper blades are easy to remove on this vehicle. Other models will require the use of tools in order to remove the wiper blade. Checking the oil level is easy to do on this vehicle, as the oil dipstick is easily accessible in the engine bay.
