The 2013 Ford Escape SEL is a rather challenging vehicle to maintain. The entire glove box housing must be removed to access the cabin air filter, which won’t allow for reliable filter changes. Some of the headlights are only accessible through the wheel well lining, which might prove to be a problem to remove. Multiple components under the vehicle will require a large panel to be pried off for access, which is bulky and cumbersome to disengage.
