The 2007 Lincoln MKX is a moderately easy car to maintain, and a good choice for the average car owner. Checking the transmission fluid level is easy, as the fluid dipstick is reliably accessible in the engine bay. Not every model includes this dipstick. Both the front and rear wiper blades are no problem to change on this vehicle. Other models will require the use of tools, so it’s a nice touch to be able to change these blades with just your hands. The components of the spare tire are easily accessible in the rear of the vehicle. This keeps the tire and jack kit ready to go in case of emergency.
Some things are tougher on the 2007 Lincoln MKX. In order to access one of the tail lights, you will have to reach through the rear wheel well lining. This can be tough, as it is a tight space, and this lining can grow tight to the vehicle over time. You will have to lower the glove box in order to access the cabin air filter. This would have been much easier if there were a designated panel in the rear of the glove box. Checking and filling the brake fluid reservoir can be tough, as the reservoir is not located in an easily visible spot in the engine bay.
