New Bulbs are Brighter Bulbs
For many vehicles, it is a similar amount of work to change one bulb as it is to change all of the bulbs in a housing. For this reason, it is important to remember that bulbs dim over time. In addition, the bulbs that your vehicle was equipped with at the factory can be upgraded to higher-performing bulbs that provide better down-road visibility without additional glare to oncoming drivers. If one headlight is burnt out and you replace it with a new bulb, the new bulb will be much brighter than the counterpart bulb that still works, but is old and dim. In addition, bulbs last about the same amount of time, so if one bulb is burnt out, the other bulb is likely to burn out soon.
